MaoFong (Dian Hong-Yunnan) 顛紅毛峰

A high quality big leaf tea processed into a fantastic smooth black tea. The dry leaf consists of beautiful large golden buds and dark leaf couplets. They emit an aroma of cocoa/”chocolatey” notes and sweet hints of fruits (dried apples) and a slight “malty” note – very complex. The infused leaf unfurls and has a slight red tinge to it. The flavour of the infused leaf is smooth, sweet and rich with absolutely no bitterness. The leaves may be infused several times. This tea is bold enough to take the addition of milk or sugar, but some of the complexity would be covered. This is a wonderful tea any time of the day!
